This story is ok. I like the idea of it but I don't feel that the characters were developed enough to care about them. It seemed like she was in a rush to get to the end. The story just stops. Of course, if you want to know what happens next you have to buy the next installment. Aren't we all tired of these yet???

Wild Dark Riders Motorcycle Club Book 1 edition by Elsa Day Romance eBooks Reviews

If this was a full length book I probably would have given this book a better rating. However, I DO NOT LIKE CLIFFHANGER S!!!! I am so not buying any more of these "teaser" series books. If an author has to dole out a book piece meal, and not wait until they finish the whole book with an ending, then I don't want to bother with it. I have far more better whole books to enjoy!
"Wild is the first entry in the Dark Riders Motorcycle Club serial, following the story of Lilly and Asher. "
When I read this in the description I figured it was a series but with each story centering on a couple...not that it would end abruptly in the middle of a scene.
Lilly is a nursing student who leaves college to go home and take care of her cancer-striken mother, has an accident on the way home and is "rescued" by a gorgeous biker. What happens after that is a whirlwind of coming home, reconnecting with an old love and finding out how dangerous that love has become. Hate that it stopped right in the middle of an action scene though...

**** 4 **** "sometimes you can go back" stars
I would give it zero start if I could. I am honestly confused about how it rated as high as it did in the reviews. I thought this book was horrible. It was very short and had a cliffhanger. I really hate when books don't say that they are only the first 3-4 chapters of an actual book. If I know that is what is happening I can avoid it, but I hate it when it's sprung on me. So not only is this only the first part of a book, I don't think a single scene actually feels complete. The author really needs to work on her transitions. I feel like she starts to write a scene, and goes "well that's good enough" and suddenly you are on the next scene with no warning and no idea how you got there. I think the only good thing I can say about this book is that the author's grammar is decent. No massive spelling or grammar errors, just a bad book. The "heroine" is weak and pretty useless. She just does what ever she is told, the "hero" is equally useless and one-sided. There is just nothing salvageable about this book. Since it's super short i finished it in a bout half and hour and was left regretting wasting my time, the entire time I was hoping it would get better but suddenly just ended. Please save yourself the time and brain ache. Skip this!
This was a free book I found and one-clicked without giving it much of a thought. As part of my effort to go back and give reviews, I’ll say that it was an okay read. There is an effort to provide a background to the romance between the main characters so that it doesn’t feel like an insta-love book, but as is the case with any book that is short (serial) it goes from zero to a hundred with no growth. Truth is, after two years, I forgot what the book was about. I obviously liked it enough to fork out money for the second installment in the serial, but I can’t give more than three stars. It was a good idea, but I think it would have been better to make it a real novel. I know why she did it this way, but the story suffered.
Book Review- Wild by Elsa Day

Lily Clarkfield is heading home to help with her mom who has cancer. She has an accident on the way home. Her phone is broken and no one to help her. After what seems hours a group of motorcycles comes down the road. She is uneasy and hopes they keep going, but they don’t. She is grabbed and placed behind a handsome biker called Wild. She is apprehensive but has no choice. She is shocked when they drive her home.
Wild is actually Archer Thomas who was her childhood friend. She hasn’t seen him in years. He is the V.P. for the Dark Riders Motorcycle Club. He is angry she left him six years ago and now tells her to leave, no one wants her here.
Lily is torn. She doesn’t know what she should do. She heads out to think about things. He shows up behind her hearing her defend him to two guys in the bar. She finally has a chance to tell him she didn’t want to leave him. She had no choice.
Archer gives her the choice to stay and be with him or leave and have a different life. He tells her she has to be down with the Dark Riders. In order to decide she has to know what they do. She asks Archer to show her. So he takes her along. Things get dangerous as a rival gang gets involved and the clubs come together and fight each other. Lily gets close and personal with the life of the Dark Riders. Her life is forever changed and she has no idea if Archer will be able to protect her.
This was a fast paced story. Lily falls into the middle of the Dark Riders lives by going home and getting into a car accident. I love that she and Archer are first loves and have known each other since they were children. Bits of their history comes through as the story evolves. Archer was sweet to her and it is obvious he still loves her.
Unfortunately for them to be together, Lily is dragged into the dangerous life of Motorcycle clubs. She is caught in the middle. I love that she tries to help and do her best using her nursing skills. The ending is shocking. I wasn’t expecting it and it set things up for the next book in the series. I am dying to see what happens next. It’s a great short story of the biker life and an innocent young woman trying to be with her first love. I give it a 4 out of 5.
This story is ok. I like the idea of it but I don't feel that the characters were developed enough to care about them. It seemed like she was in a rush to get to the end. The story just stops. Of course, if you want to know what happens next you have to buy the next installment. Aren't we all tired of these yet???
